Dive into the T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial where Jason Momoa, Zach Braff, and Donald Faison join forces to give a musical twist to Irene Cara’s “Flashdance… What a Feeling” from the iconic 1983 film. Jennifer Beals, the star of Flashdance, makes a surprise appearance in this entertaining ad, and Billboard has an exclusive peek behind the scenes of the recording.

In the commercial, Braff and Faison approach Jason Momoa’s door, only to discover that his Super Bowl party is canceled due to cable Internet issues. Braff starts singing adapted lyrics to the ’80s classic, expressing the need for new WiFi, and Faison chimes in with the benefits of T-Mobile’s Home Internet with 5G.

Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, joins in for a lively chorus, showcasing his unexpected vocal prowess and even recreating the iconic Flashdance wet chair scene. The ad takes a humorous turn when Jennifer Beals appears at the end, playfully urging Momoa to redo the entire number shirtless.

Flashback to 1983, when Irene Cara’s “Flashdance… What a Feeling” dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks, aligning with the success of the film, which ranked as the third-highest-grossing film of the year in the U.S.

This year’s commercial follows the pattern of Braff and Faison’s previous Super Bowl ad, where they reimagined lyrics to “Summer Nights” from Grease alongside John Travolta.
