Ariana Grande in the “”yes, and?” music video. Republic Records
A new and extended version of Ariana Grande’s most recent single, titled “Yes, And?” has been unleashed. Grande made the extended mix of “Yes, And?” available for purchase on both iTunes and Amazon Music on Monday, January 15. She shared the link with her fans through her Instagram Stories. The updated version includes a prolonged instrumental introduction and conclusion, boasting a duration of 5:08, in contrast to the original version’s 3:34 runtime. Additionally, the new rendition was uploaded to YouTube the following day.
Alongside the extended mix, Grande also dropped instrumental and extended instrumental versions of the track. Over the weekend, the pop star treated her fans to more “Yes, And?” delights. She posted a reel on Instagram on Saturday, offering a glimpse into the recording process of the single. In a brief video, Grande can be seen recording multiple takes of the chorus, receiving feedback from producer Max Martin on her vocal performance. The chorus goes, “Say that s— with your chest, and/ Be your own f—kin’ best friend/ Say that sh– with your chest/ Keep moving like, ‘What’s next?’/ ‘Yes, and?’”
Grande’s latest dance-pop single, featuring lyrics questioning why people are so concerned about commenting on her life, was released on Friday, January 12. “Yes, And?” serves as the lead track from her upcoming seventh studio album. Paula Abdul, a Grammy winner, expressed her admiration for “Yes, And?” and its music video in a tweet on the day of its release. Abdul was particularly thrilled to see Grande pay homage to her own visual in the “Opposites Attract” singer’s new music video. She exclaimed, “WOW! Waking up to see Ariana Grande pay homage to ‘Cold Hearted’ in her new music video ‘yes, and?’ was EVERYTHING!!! What an honor! I love you, Ari!!!”
