Jay-Z, known for his ventures beyond Rocawear, has returned to the design scene with an enticing collaboration – the Roc Nation x Moncler winter-friendly capsule. Launched on Jay-Z’s website on Wednesday (Jan. 24), the collection seamlessly merges the comfort of streetwear with the opulence of Moncler’s renowned garments.
This upscale assortment features a range of everyday wardrobe essentials, including high-quality T-shirts, cream-colored sweatshirts, fuzzy sweaters, sleek puffer jackets, and a furry bucket hat, all curated by the Brooklyn rap icon.
Prices for the collection span from $345 for standard graphic T-shirts to well over $2,000 for the signature Moncler jackets, which have become a staple for the outerwear experts now based in Milan, Italy.
Accompanying the collection’s launch is a captivating video directed by the McGloughlin brothers, with SAINt JHN serving as the narrator. The video, soundtracked by The Book of Clarence’s “I Want You Forever,” showcases scenes reflecting Jay-Z’s journey, with references to the Marcy Projects, his former home.
This collaboration isn’t the first between Roc Nation and Moncler. The two entities previously joined forces for an interactive event surrounding Moncler’s Genius Platform at London Fashion Week in 2023. Jay-Z orchestrated a unique experience where fans collaborated to record a song, leading to the creation of “The Art of All,” featuring Mike Dean.
“The Art of All is the journey, it is the everyday, it is waking up and using your voice,” expressed Jay-Z last year. “Genius is everywhere.”
