Melissa McCarthy laughs off Barbra Streisand’s Ozempic comment

Remember that whole thing where Barbra Streisand publicly asked Melissa McCarthy if she took Ozempic? Well, McCarthy wants everyone to know there’s no hard feelings!

Just days after a reporter asked her about it, McCarthy took to Instagram to clear the air. She shared a photo holding a magazine with a young Streisand on the cover, jokingly saying “the takeaway” is that Streisand noticed her and thought she looked good.

This lighthearted post got lots of love from celebrities like Randy Rainbow, Kristin Chenoweth, and Rosie O’Donnell.

Here’s the backstory: McCarthy posted photos with Hairspray director Adam Shankman. Streisand, maybe thinking she was sending a private message, commented about giving Shankman her regards and then asked about Ozempic (a diabetes drug sometimes used for weight loss).

Streisand quickly deleted the comment and apologized, explaining she just meant to compliment McCarthy’s appearance. It turns out Streisand forgets the world can see her comments!

This isn’t the first time they’ve interacted – they even sang a duet together in 2016. Streisand apparently enjoys leaving comments on McCarthy’s posts.

In the end, it was all a misunderstanding, and McCarthy took it in stride!
