Hours after calling the rapper an “ungrateful loser” and claiming their 2015 collaboration “Me, Myself & I” was his “only real hit,” Bebe Rexha tweeted on Thursday (June 13) that her team had requested she delete the remarks from her account — and she complied. “I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic,” she explained. “Sometimes trauma can cause us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing.”
However, the “Meant to Be” singer now has second thoughts. “I am writing this because I regret taking it down,” she added. “I want to say that I still stand by what I said.” She also retweeted a fan’s post featuring a photo of her and Halsey — who recorded “Him & I” with G-Eazy in 2017 — sitting next to each other at the 2019 VMAs. The caption reads, “Bebe Rexha and Halsey talking about how they carried G-Eazy’s career.”
Rexha’s original post about the “No Limit” artist came after a team member texted her asking if she wanted to create social media content with G-Eazy. Sharing a screenshot of the message, the singer wrote, “You have my number. Why don’t you text me and ask me yourself, you stuck up ungrateful loser.” “You’re lucky people are liking you again,” she added, tagging G-Eazy. “‘Cause I could go in on all the crappy things you’ve done and how you treated me after giving you your only real hit.”
