Sean “Diddy” Combs has been placed on suicide watch while awaiting trial in federal custody on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. This move is considered standard procedure for high-profile inmates, as confirmed by sources. Diddy’s spokesperson reassured that the music mogul remains focused on his defense and fully trusts his legal team.
Diddy, the founder of Bad Boy Records, faces multiple felony charges after a grand jury indictment linked him to forced labor, kidnapping, arson, and bribery. Despite pleading not guilty, his bail requests were denied twice due to concerns about flight risk and witness intimidation. His lawyers had sought a $50 million bond, which was rejected.
The next phase in the case is a pretrial conference before federal judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. Diddy’s legal team has also requested a transfer to a safer facility, citing potential safety risks in the Metropolitan Detention Center where he is currently held. If convicted, Diddy faces a life sentence.
