Busta Rhymes has officially announced his highly anticipated 12th studio album, thrilling fans with the news of its imminent release. The legendary rapper took to Instagram on October 23 to reveal that his latest project will drop next month, building excitement for what promises to be a monumental return.
In the surprise announcement, Busta shared a teaser featuring his iconic logo and the eyes of a dragon, captioned: “THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP, EVER!! NEW ALBUM LOADING BY THE DRAGON DROPPING 11.29.24!! JESUS CHRIST!!” Although tracklist details and guest features remain a mystery, fans are buzzing with anticipation for the November release.
This new album marks the second in two years for Busta, following the success of his 2023 album, Blockbusta. Released last November, Blockbusta reached number 42 on the Billboard 200 and featured big-name collaborations with Chris Brown, Young Thug, Kodak Black, Quavo, and BIA, with production by Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and Pharrell. Given Busta’s track record, the upcoming project is expected to maintain this high standard.
In addition to his solo work, Busta Rhymes has also hinted at a long-awaited return of his legendary rap group, Flipmode Squad. In a March social media post, he teased the first Flipmode Squad album in over two decades, writing: “BRAND NEW FLIPMODE SQUAD ALBUM IS COMIN’!! 26YRS LATER!! STAY TUNED… ALBUM TITLE COMIN’ SOON!!!”
Beyond music, Busta Rhymes is stepping back into acting. Earlier this year, it was revealed that he had been cast in the upcoming remake of The Naked Gun, alongside Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. This role marks Busta’s return to film after nearly a decade, continuing his legacy in both hip-hop and Hollywood.
