Janet Jackson has publicly shared her grief following the death of her brother, Tito Jackson, one month after he passed away at the age of 70. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Janet expressed her sorrow, sharing a black-and-white photo of the two siblings with the words, “May you rest in eternal peace. I miss you so much.” Tito, a founding member of the iconic Jackson 5, tragically passed from a suspected heart attack, as confirmed by family and longtime friend Steve Manning.
Tito’s sons, TJ, Taj, and Taryll, also posted a touching tribute to their father, honoring his legacy both as a father and as a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer. They expressed their heartbreak, saying, “We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken…our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone.” The message encouraged others to embrace Tito’s lifelong message of love and compassion, concluding, “It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.”
Tito Jackson played a crucial role in the Jackson family’s success, helping launch The Jackson 5 in the 1960s. Known for hits like “I Want You Back” and “ABC,” Tito also pursued a solo career, with his album Tito Time finding success in 2016. His death is the latest in a series of family losses, including the passing of his brother Michael in 2009 and their father Joe in 2018.
