50 Cent has officially confirmed that he’s working on new music, but fans hoping for a full-length album will need to wait a bit longer. The G-Unit legend, whose last album was Animal Ambition in 2014, spoke about his plans during Cam’ron’s YouTube show, Talk with Flee.
“I’ma make some new music,” 50 revealed, sparking excitement among his fans. However, he quickly clarified that his new songs will likely be integrated into his film and TV projects rather than being part of a standalone album.
Over the years, 50 Cent has dropped singles to support his hit shows like Power and BMF. Tracks such as “Power Powder Respect” with Lil Durk and Jeremih and “Wish Me Luck” featuring Snoop Dogg, Moneybagg Yo, and Charlie Wilson have reminded fans of his musical prowess.
These collaborations reflect his focus on blending music with storytelling through visual mediums, a strategy that has bolstered his success as an entertainment mogul.
While a new album isn’t in the pipeline, 50 Cent fans can look forward to an exciting collaboration. This Friday, December 13, the Queens-born rapper will appear on Snoop Dogg’s new album, Missionary.
The track, titled “Gunz N Smoke,” is a monumental collaboration featuring Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent—a powerhouse lineup that marks the first time these four legends have worked together on a single track. Produced entirely by Dr. Dre, Missionary promises to deliver a mix of nostalgia and innovation.
50’s recent comments may surprise some fans, as he has previously hinted at plans for a new album. In early 2023, he shared that Eminem and Dr. Dre were involved in his creative process.
“This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on,” 50 explained during an interview with Big Boy. “And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something.”
Eminem has also publicly encouraged 50 to return to the studio. “I’m trying to get him to make a new album so bad,” Em said in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid. “50’s on a roll right now, and we need another 50 album.”
Although an album may not be imminent, fans can still expect more from 50 Cent in the form of music tied to his multimedia projects. His ability to innovate and adapt has kept him relevant in both music and entertainment for decades.
For now, all eyes are on Missionary and the historic collaboration with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Eminem. Fans eager for more updates can follow 50 Cent’s journey through his film, music, and TV ventures.
