Sexyy Red is facing a $5 million lawsuit following allegations that she used social media to incite violence against the grandmother of one of her children. The lawsuit, filed by Nicole Barnes, claims the rapper encouraged her followers to carry out attacks against Barnes, the paternal grandmother.

According to the legal documents, Sexyy Red allegedly posted on Facebook in early December, urging her followers to “conduct acts of violence” against Barnes, including “kick[ing] in the door” of her residence. Barnes also alleges that the rapper publicly shared her address and a photo of her home on the social media platform, placing her in immediate danger.

Nicole Barnes’ attorney, Steven Weaver, spoke with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, explaining that the conflict stemmed from disputes between Sexyy Red and her child’s father, which had no involvement from his client. “Sexxy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client,” Weaver stated. He also mentioned that attempts to resolve the issue informally were dismissed by Sexyy Red’s legal team.

Barnes reportedly filed a police report regarding the posts and was forced to relocate. However, she has been unable to purchase a new home due to financial constraints. Barnes alleges that she is living in constant fear and has sought therapy to cope with the emotional distress caused by the rapper’s actions.

They hate on me the most. I get a lot of love, but they be hating on me.”

She expressed her suspicion that the negativity may be orchestrated, suggesting hidden agendas and attempts to undermine her success. “They don’t like seeing me win,” she stated.
