Young Scooter Laid to Rest in Atlanta After Fatal Leg Injury During Police Escape

Atlanta rapper Young Scooter has been laid to rest after passing away from a tragic injury sustained while fleeing from police. The funeral, held Monday, April 7, at Saint Philip AME Church, was filled with family, friends, and supporters mourning the loss of the beloved artist, whose real name was Kenneth Bailey.

The ceremony featured touching moments, including Scooter’s teenage son wearing a custom diamond chain dedicated to his father. The chain displayed his photo inside a gold, book-shaped pendant. Though the funeral was held in Atlanta, Scooter will be buried in his hometown of Walterboro, South Carolina later this week.

Autopsy Reveals Truth About Young Scooter’s Death

Young Scooter’s passing led to several conspiracy theories online, some suggesting he was fatally shot by police. However, an official autopsy report confirmed that he died from a penetrating leg injury, not a gunshot wound.

“Mr. Bailey sustained a penetrating injury of his right thigh that created marked blood loss,” the report stated.

The injury occurred while he was attempting to jump a fence during a police chase. The wound caused massive bleeding, ultimately proving fatal. The police presence was the result of a false 911 call, which is now being labeled as a hoax.

Reality TV Star Arrested for False 911 Call

Demetria Spence, also known as Demi Blanco from Baddies, was arrested in connection with the false emergency call. She was charged with transmitting a false public alarm that resulted in serious harm or death.

On Instagram Live, before her arrest, Spence claimed she made the call due to abuse. But her actual 911 report told a different story. She claimed she had witnessed a naked woman being assaulted, a hostage situation, and possible drug activity. She even alleged a shooting had occurred and suggested child endangerment.

“She was bleeding profusely from her head… she has a baby,” Spence reported in the call.

However, when Atlanta police arrived, they found no evidence of such a scene. This led to Spence’s arrest on April 1. She was later released on a $7,500 bond. The hoax ultimately contributed to the chain of events that led to Young Scooter’s tragic passing.
