In a recent Instagram Stories post on Thursday (Jan. 18), the band conveyed the news of their withdrawal from Vive Latino in Mexico City, Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá, and Lollapalooza Brazil in São Paulo. The statement revealed that Nashville indie band Kings of Leon will step in to replace Paramore at these events.

This announcement follows the band’s withdrawal from the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO show two weeks prior, also due to unforeseen circumstances. The band’s decision to clear their social media accounts around the same time had raised concerns among fans about the band’s future.

Despite the uncertainties, Paramore expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused and teased that they will see fans in the next era. The band has not provided further details about the reasons behind the cancellations or offered insights into their future plans.

Paramore recently hinted at a Talking Heads tribute cover and music video collaboration with A24. A snippet from the project showed Hayley Williams unboxing an oversized David Byrne-esque suit jacket, concluding with her singing part of “Burning Down the House.”

The trio, consisting of the “Simmer” singer, Taylor York, and Zac Farro, is still slated to support several of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows during the European leg this summer. Additionally, Paramore has completed its contract with Atlantic Records, marking the band’s newfound status as a free agent after 20 years.

Hayley Williams expressed excitement about the prospect of starting anew, emphasizing a desire to move away from the familiar and embark on a fresh creative journey. Fans can anticipate the next chapter for Paramore, including potential new music and projects in the future.
