A man attending Morgan Wallen’s concert at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium was charged with a felony on Friday night (Aug. 2) for making threats on social media to shoot two individuals associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office in Missouri reported that the threats were directed at members of the Chiefs organization, present at the event. Chiefs players Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Chris Jones were seen with Wallen just before he took the stage.

LADIES NIGHT OUT CONCERT

The incident was classified as a “terroristic threat” in a statement released Saturday by Michael Mansur, director of communication for Jackson County’s prosecutor, Jean Peters Baker. Court records identify Aaron Brown of Winchester, Illinois, as the individual charged with making a terrorist threat in the second degree. Brown allegedly posted on X (formerly Twitter) about his intent to shoot specific individuals, creating a false sense of danger.

Following the arrest, Wallen’s concert, part of his One Night at a Time Tour, was delayed by 40 minutes while law enforcement apprehended Brown. Despite the disruption, Wallen eventually made his entrance with Kelce, Mahomes, and Jones, energizing the audience. The concert continued without further incident, though it highlighted the serious nature of threats made online.
