P!nk recently delivered a powerful performance at the Democratic National Convention, joined by her 13-year-old daughter, Willow. The mother-daughter duo captivated the audience with a heartfelt rendition of P!nk’s hit, “What About Us.” Their performance followed speeches addressing the devastating impact of gun violence in U.S. schools, adding emotional weight to the evening.
Before stepping on stage, P!nk shared a candid moment with Willow, offering her encouragement with the words, “Just do your thing. Whatever you don’t sing, I will.” This tender exchange was part of behind-the-scenes footage from P!nk’s Summer Carnival Tour, shared on social media. The duo’s stripped-down performance, accompanied by an acoustic guitar and three backup singers, was a highlight in a night filled with star-studded musical acts.
This isn’t the first time Willow has performed with her famous mother; the two also sang “Cover Me in Sunshine” during the opening of P!nk’s Summer Carnival Tour in 2023. P!nk has often expressed her pride in Willow’s talents, noting her daughter’s aspirations to pursue both Broadway and a career as a trauma surgeon. Their DNC performance stood out as a poignant moment of the night, which also featured The Chicks, Stevie Wonder, and John Legend, and concluded with Vice President Kamala Harris accepting the Democratic nomination for president.
