Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty to impaired driving in Sag Harbor, New York, and was sentenced to a $500 fine, $260 surcharge, 25 hours of community service, and a public safety announcement. Timberlake’s plea deal raised concerns with Judge Carl Irace, who felt the quick timing of the public statement wouldn’t allow Timberlake enough reflection. To address this, the judge added community service to his sentence. Timberlake expressed regret, admitting, “I did not live up to the standards I set for myself” and acknowledged the seriousness of his actions.

After the hearing, Timberlake addressed the media, urging people not to drink and drive, regardless of how little they’ve consumed. He advised alternatives like calling a friend, using Uber, or taking a taxi. Timberlake added that he hopes others can learn from his mistake, stating, “I know that I certainly have.” The hearing concludes a legal saga that began three months ago when Timberlake was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign while driving a 2025 BMW in the Hamptons.

Despite the arrest, Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour remains on track to gross over $250 million across 87 dates. The legal issue has not appeared to impact his career momentum.
