Richard Goodall, the 55-year-old fan-favorite of America’s Got Talent season 19, delivered a stunning performance in the finals with his rendition of Journey’s 1983 hit “Faithfully.” Clad in all black, including a signature flat cap, Goodall’s powerful vocals and full-band support captivated the audience as he hit every high note of the ballad, earning a standing ovation from the judges and crowd.
Heidi Klum praised Goodall for his humility, calling him a “big rockstar” behind the microphone and expressing her hopes for his victory. Simon Cowell echoed the admiration, calling Goodall a hero and acknowledging the energy he brought to the stage. Howie Mandel confidently predicted, “I think you just sang yourself $1 million.”
Goodall, a school janitor by day, has charmed millions with his heartfelt performances, including Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” in the semifinals. As one of 10 finalists, he now faces America’s vote, with the winner to be revealed on Sept. 24 during the star-studded finale.
