Shaboozey to Headline Utah Hockey Club’s Opening Night With Free Concert in Salt Lake City

Shaboozey, Billboard chart-topping artist known for his smash hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” will headline the Utah Hockey Club’s inaugural season opening night concert. The free outdoor performance will take place outside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, October 8, just before the team’s first game against the Chicago Blackhawks. The concert starts at 5:30 p.m. MT, leading up to the game’s 6:30 p.m. entry for ticketed guests.


ESPN will cover the event live as part of its triple-header coverage of the 2024-2025 NHL season opening night. Shaboozey’s performance, alongside other activities at the Delta Center, will be featured during the broadcast, which includes games like St. Louis Blues vs. Seattle Kraken and Boston Bruins vs. Florida Panthers. Portions of the concert will be highlighted in ESPN’s coverage, bringing added attention to the NHL’s newest franchise and its exciting start.

In addition to his live performance, Shaboozey is riding high on the success of his album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200. The artist also took home two awards at the People’s Choice Country Awards, winning New Artist of 2024 and New Artist Song of 2024 for his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).
