In celebration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Megan Thee Stallion has partnered with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for the “Never a Bother” campaign. This youth suicide prevention initiative raises awareness about available crisis tools and resources for young people. Through a heartfelt video, Megan shares her personal mental health journey, encouraging transparency and emphasizing that seeking help builds strength, not weakness.
The “Never a Bother” campaign video, shared across social media platforms and the campaign’s website, highlights Megan’s compassionate message to young people. She assures them they are “never a bother” when asking for help during difficult times. The campaign aims to address the alarming rate of youth suicides, with suicide being the second leading cause of death among California youth aged 10-25 between 2018 and 2022. It also provides crisis resources and stories of resilience from youth and their friends.
Megan Thee Stallion’s advocacy for mental health extends beyond this campaign. In addition to launching this initiative, she previously collaborated with the Seize the Awkward campaign and created the Pete and Thomas Foundation, which supports underserved communities. The “Never a Bother” campaign continues California’s mission to promote mental health awareness and intervention among vulnerable youth populations.
