Lil Uzi Vert Announces 'Eternal Atake 2' with Alien-Inspired Trailer and Sci-Fi Artwork

Lil Uzi Vert has officially confirmed the release of their highly-anticipated album Eternal Atake 2 by debuting a cryptic, extraterrestrial-themed trailer alongside eerie cover art. The announcement, made on October 23, 2024, features purple alien-like figures and a cinematic video that teases the storyline behind the album’s visual concept.

The cover art displays purple women with glowing pink eyes, reminiscent of the popular horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s. The accompanying one-minute trailer opens with a shot of Earth, followed by an intriguing narration that recounts Lil Uzi Vert’s mysterious disappearance on March 6, 2020. Fans believed it was the fulfillment of a long-awaited prophecy.

In the video, a UFO emerges through the Eternal Atake 2 logo, landing on a futuristic space station. There, Lil Uzi Vert is shown having their memory wiped by the purple-eyed aliens, adding to the mysterious storyline. The trailer concludes with the message that Eternal Atake 2 is “coming soon,” with a release date set for November 1, 2024, as confirmed by a pre-release listing on Apple Music.

Fans have already received a glimpse of what’s to come with the release of a quirky new track titled “Uzi the Earthling! (TV Show Theme).” Dropped on the same day as the trailer, the 30-second song features vocals from a female singer who delivers playful lyrics about Lil Uzi Vert in the style of an old-fashioned TV show theme.

While the song’s connection to Eternal Atake 2 remains unclear, it hints at a creative and unconventional direction for the album, leaving fans wondering if a TV show is also in the works to coincide with the album release.

Initially, Lil Uzi Vert had announced plans to retire from music after the release of Luv Is Rage 3. However, in a surprising twist, they revealed in August 2024 that Eternal Atake 2 was on the way, signaling a change in their career plans. Fans eagerly await the album’s arrival to see what the Philadelphia rapper has in store next.
