Travis Scott is officially making his Hollywood debut. Specifically, the rapper stars in the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan-directed film, The Odyssey. Additionally, he is featured heavily on the mythological film’s brand new soundtrack.
La Flame recently teamed up with his frequent collaborator, James Blake. Together, they worked with Ludwig Göransson, who officially scored the film. They created the haunting new track “When I’m Home,” which plays during the movie’s ending credits.

The Odyssey soundtrack officially arrived on Friday, July 17. Meanwhile, Nolan’s blockbuster epic hit theaters on the very same day. The massive film is based on Homer’s ancient Greek poem.
The dreamy production beautifully matches the movie. Furthermore, Scott’s intoxicating flow on “When I’m Home” perfectly mirrors Odysseus’ turbulent journey back to Ithaca.
The Houston rapper uses concise punch-in bars and clever ad-libs throughout the track. Specifically, his lyrics directly reference the fleet, sirens, and the legendary Battle of Troy.
Interestingly, Scott makes his feature film debut in this massive blockbuster. He plays the role of a bard who recites epics and stories from ancient Greece. In fact, his character’s voice is the very first one heard in the entire movie.
Scott joins an incredibly loaded Hollywood cast. The film also stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway. Additionally, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and Lupita Nyong’o appear in the movie.

The rapper and Nolan have developed quite the rapport recently. Nolan previously recruited Scott to make “The Plan” for the Tenet soundtrack back in 2020.
“I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry,” Nolan told Time in May. He explained that this ancient poetry is highly analogous to modern rap music.
The 35-year-old rapper also opened up to Deadline about joining the cast. “I just got a call from Nolan,” he explained. “We had this crazy idea and I was like, ‘I’m down to rock. However you want to do it.’”
