Lenny Kravitz will kick off next month’s UEFA Champions League Final with a special performance that promises to be unforgettable. The iconic U.S. rock star will take the stage ahead of the grand finale of European club soccer on Saturday, June 1. During his performance, Kravitz will treat fans to some of his timeless classics and also introduce new tracks from his upcoming 12th studio album, Blue Electric Light, released under Roxie Records/BMG.

Kravitz’s performance will be part of the Kick Off show at London’s Wembley Stadium, setting the tone for the highly anticipated match between German giants Dortmund and Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid. According to tournament representatives, an impressive crowd of 90,000 fans will fill the stadium, while a global audience of 100 million viewers will tune in to watch the spectacle live on their screens. In a statement, Kravitz expressed his enthusiasm: “It’s going to be such an exciting event ahead of a final that means so much to so many. We can’t wait to show you all what we have in store.”

This event marks the eighth consecutive year that Pepsi and UEFA have collaborated to present the Kick Off program for the Champions League final. To generate excitement ahead of match day, Pepsi has released a short film titled “Wembley Is Blue,” featuring Kravitz in his element. The film shows him artistically painting the venue, enjoying a can of Pepsi, and rocking out with his signature Flying V guitar while performing “Fly Away.”

This year has been particularly noteworthy for Kravitz, as he has received numerous accolades. He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recognized by the CFDA with their Fashion Icon Award, and received the Music Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. Despite these achievements, Kravitz is still awaiting induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His upcoming album, Blue Electric Light, set for release next Friday, May 24, captures themes of “celebration, life, humanity, sexuality, sensuality, and spirituality,” as he described during a recent late-night TV appearance.

Following the album release, Kravitz will embark on a European arena and festival tour to support Blue Electric Light. The tour will kick off on June 23 at Sporthalle in Hamburg, Germany, promising fans across Europe a chance to experience his electrifying performances live.
